Hi everyone, I've been a member of the forum for a few years now, and since I've finally started to build my first guitar I figure it's time to introduce myself to the rest of you and start participating in the discussion. First and foremost, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who contributes here. If not for this forum and the wealth of knowledge contained here, I don't know if I ever would have started to build an instrument. I've learned a ton from you guys and gals, and I'm glad so many of you share your knowledge so freely here. So thanks! I'm building a Stew-Mac mahogany dread kit for my first, and I hope to progress to scratch builds as I acquire more of the tools and jigs to do so. My progress has been slow so far, mostly due to the fact that I moved a few months ago and lost my shop space. I've finally worked that out and I'm looking forward to getting back into the build. Here are a few pics of my progress so far, hopefully more will follow soon! |
